A girl has to do what a girl has to do…

And this girl had to do some shopping! Thanks to several amazing blogging ladies, I found some fabulous shops in the Pacific North West. I made a lot of new friends all over Oregon and Washington…and let me tell you, these girls are talented!

Special thanks to Lulu who went out of her ever junkin' way to give me the low down on what is IN for shopping in Washington! Next time I'm in town I'm definately looking Lulu up for a grand tour of the area!

And Debi at Garden Party...I love her blog and her sweet country style! She sent me to my new-favorite-shop-in-the-whole-world Poppyseeds! And the town Debi lives in, Snohomish, is the cutest 'lil town I've ever seen.

Annies on First (in Snohomish) has a delightful array of vintage-inspired decor for the home and garden and beautiful antiques.  Click on the photo to see the window…it is in a easy-breezy summer nautical theme of vintage boats.

Two doors down is Faded Elegance.  It felt like home when I walked in.  Vintage, shabby, chippy, chenille, garden decor, gilded, candles, crowns, florals…all the looks I adore…wrapped in one beautiful shop.  Owner Kimberly is really sweet, and has a great eye for beautiful home decor.

Last but not least, Linda, one of the "Funky Junk Sisters" rounded out the list of shopping pleasures with places to go in Puyallup.  I stopped there on the way home but it was the 4th of July and the shops were closed!    I've got the next FJS show on my radar for October, I know I'll see all of these gals there.  And I’ll hit the shops I missed…

THANK YOU ladies, you made the long trip up to Vancouver BC delightful.  I’ll think of each of you and the fun I had as I unpack all the goodies I found along the way.,.many of them will be in my July offerings at Room With A Past next week.

Happy Fourth of July!

I attended "Betsy Ross Elementary School" in Anaheim, CA. This sweet picture always reminds me of the celebrations we had growing up...always with fireworks, and ALWAYS grateful for being able to celebrate our freedom!

A Honey of a Sweet Shop!

I've found the cutest shop in the world...wayyyy out on a country road in Northern Washington. I've been reading their blog since they started it, and never in a million years dreamed that I'd get to see this in person:

Isn't it darling???!!! Owner Marybeth is just as cute, and soooo sweet. I'm thrilled to have met her and was so excited to see her, well I just had to hug her! My time there was short, she sent me down the road to another shop as well. I hope our paths cross again soon!

We're in the GPNW...Great Pacific North West...finding beauty and inspiring sites at every turn.

Lunching at the top of the Space Needle...visiting family...The Marketplace...seeing the 'Underground', all quite enjoyable!

And the shopping...OH THE SHOPPING!!!!! Called 'junkin' here is AMAZING!!! I can't wait to get back to share some of the goodies I've found with my RWAP Roomies! I could spend a week just Junkin'. I've met a new friend online...fellow blogger Debi. Thanks for the 'Junkin' shopping tips, Deb! I'll wave on my way through Snohomish.

Mementos Does Baby Announcements!

How's this for a happy baby?! Meet Morgan...he is the cutest 'lil guy! Mementos welcomed him into the world with Hersheys Chocolate bar announcements, Mini-Hersheys bars and 'bag tags' with his photo on them. They came out adorable, just like him!

Look what we found on a recent visit to Gardenseed in Danville:

Displayed in the happiest place in the shop, the CANDY BAR!!!

On the way through the shop, you'll pass a tiny table on the left...look closely, there are some tiny journals (also designed by Mementos)

I'm thrilled to say I've gotten acquainted with Robyn and the girls at this amazing shop. It is just delightful. Sparkley, colorful, pure eye candy. Now I have even more reason to stop in and admire their 'Uncommon Wares'!!!

Happy Memorial Day

The Stars and Stripes are hanging out front today to honor those that make and have made sacrifices for our freedom. It makes me so proud to display the Flag, I was raised to have a deep respect for Old Glory and what She stands for.

This time last year our family blog had a tribute to the men of our family that have served, or are serving our Country in the military. I re-visited it today to keep in touch with my roots and remind me of why I believe what I believe. That we have freedom because of men (and women) like them.

Take time today, and every day, to remember those that serve so we can be free.
