We spent the 4th in Historic Columbia in California’s Gold Country. The towns festivities included a parade, pie eating contests, gold panning and lots of other fun activities. The highlight of the day was the parade! My favorite entry was this miner and his four-legged companion:
Now isn’t THAT the CUTEST ‘lil donkey you have EVER seen?! How sweet she looks with all her flags, scarf and bows!
And these gals just made me want to put on my bloomers and get out there and DANCE with them!!!
They were having so much FUN!!!
I hope your holiday was as happy as ours, and that you took a few moments of the day to reflect on how lucky we are to live in a country known for celebrating it’s own birthday in such grand style!
Happy 4th to all!

Hi,
I just love Columbia and Jamestown. They are such charming little towns and I love going to all of the antiques shops around there! I wish I would have known about the 4th of July festivities I would have gone there. I love your blog!
Have a great day.
Sincerely,
melinda
