Summer of '08 had a western flair!

In my space at Room With A Past, I did some fun Cowgirl tags and framed pictures using vintage photos.


The local Scout Council had a daycamp in the "Wild Wild West" theme and Mementos ran with it! We made signs (it is a poster mounted to an old coal cart!):

And goodie bags for the campers (125 of them!):

And a 5-day long treasure hunt that was to-die for with clues that lead them all over camp, and then back to the sign on the coal cart. It was a whole lot of root-tootin' fun!

Hired help, or MM keeps watch...

Miss Mittens takes her job as my personal assistant very seriously! When not napping (and she does that quite well), she helps me in the office. A recent job for the local Boy Scout Council kept me at the computer for several hours while I printed name badges for a training event. MM spent a good part of that morning sitting on the corner of the desk alternating her attention from the humming bird feeder to the printer and so forth.

This is her at her post...making sure the paper comes out of the printer just so!

Welcome to Mementos!!!

Happy 2009!!!

I've started a new blog for Mementos, my party/wedding/vintage image stationery etc business. This is where I'll post new pics of what I've been working on (the latest event, shop opening, creative whim or whatever strikes my fancy at the moment) and may post the occasional family photo or two. Thanks to my blogging/RWAP friend Jan at Little Pink Houses for the gentle nudge I needed to get back to the lovely world of blogging.

So if you know me, you know other than my family and friends and my work, I LOVE to decorate our home...and my passion for all things beautiful and fun for the home keeps me lovin' my spot at Room With A Past in Walnut Creek (Cali). We were open this weekend and of course I had lots of home dec to offer, but even better...lots of valentine-y themed things. Tags, cards, cute 'lil red bottles w/glittered hearts, all quite yummy in my favorite color of all - - - RED!!! See all that yummy color??? It just makes my heart happy.

And I'm happy to be here too. I hope those of you who have followed me over at Mementos and Memories find me here too. I'm really looking forward to sharing some of what I do with you!
